Newbold on Avon RFC would like to announce that Dave Johnson has resigned from his role as Director of Rugby with immediate effect.
The club would like to place on record its thanks to Johno for his efforts over the season so far and wish him well in whatever comes up in the future for him.
Club chairman Rob Bower also added, "I personally would like to thank Johno for what he has tried to implement during this season and wish him the very best of luck for the future. Stepping away from the head coach role to take on the role of DoR before Christmas has not worked out as planned, and as has been the case since Johno walked through the doors of the club last summer he has always been open and honest with both the club and myself. He admits that the move is not for him and prefers a more hands on approach, being out on the park coaching the lads. I hope Johno finds a coaching role at another club very soon, and as is always the case at the Bold, he will be welcome at the club in the future”.
Head coach Carl Roderick and backs coach Phil Reed will continue in their roles as normal, with the support of Eddie Allen. The DoR role will be discussed by committee for next season.
